Hello All,
I need to download photos from my phone to my computer (via bluetooth). I can do this under command line:
Code: Select all
john@localhost ~ $ obexftp -b '7F:CF:E7:13:66:12' -l "/"
Browsing 7F:CF:E7:13:66:12 ...
Receiving "/"... Sending ""...|done
/<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE folder-listing SYSTEM "obex-folder-listing.dtd">
<folder-listing version="1.0">
 <folder name="Images"/>
 <folder name="Others"/>
 <folder name="Sounds"/>
 <folder name="Themes"/>
 <folder name="Videos"/>
</folder-listing>done
Disconnecting..-done
john@localhost ~ $ obexftp -b '7F:CF:E7:13:66:12' -g "/Images/Фотографии0001/Фото0182.jpg"
Browsing 7F:CF:E7:13:66:12 ...
Connecting..\done
Tried to connect for 138ms
Receiving "/Images/Фотографии0001/Фото0182.jpg"... Sending ""...|Sending "Images".../Sending "Фотографии0001"...-done
-done
Disconnecting..\done
john@localhost ~ $

It's all ok.
But if I try to enter "bluetooth" in Dolphin I get this:
http://i.piccy.info/i9/1cdf85494fe327d3 ... 048/77.png
KDE-4.12.5
Gentoo Linux (emerge --info)

What is the problem? Where can I find the additional info?

Try tailing ~/.xsession-errors while trying to access your device via Bluetooth. That may indicate why the Bluetooth KIOSlave is dying (probably crashing).

Yep, it is crashing as I expected.
Code: Select all
kioslave: ####### CRASH ###### protocol = obexftp pid = 2637 signal = 11

If you're able to debug it, please see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tut ... g_IOSlaves

Ok, I set in $KDEDIR/share/config/kdebugrc this:
Code: Select all
[BlueDaemon]
InfoOutput=0
InfoFilename=/home/john/bluedaemon

[kiobluetooth]
InfoOutput=0
InfoFilename=/home/john/kiobluetooth

[kioobexftp]
InfiOutput=0
InfoOutput=/home/john/kioobexftp

And receive:
BlueDaemon
kiobluetooth
kioobexftp

Which version of Bluedevil do you have installed?

Thanks. Apparently this may have been fixed at some point - i've asked the developer which version contains the fix.

What have been fixed? The working of 'Bluetooth KIOSlave' or 'error absence' in debug?

The Bluetooth KIOSlave is what was fixed. Unfortunately it is not clear whether rc1 contains the fix i'm afraid - are you able to compile the latest Bluedevil code from source and install that to see if it fixes the issue?

git://anongit.kde.org/libbluedevil - Is that it?
If so, I'll wait new version of libbluedevil in portage tree (Gentoo Linux Repository). I don't want to clog my system with soft which was not installed by portage (Gentoo Linux Package Manager).
Thanks.

Yes, it is that repository as well as git://anongit.kde.org/bluedevil
I'm surprised there isn't a latest development (-9999) build of Bluedevil available on Gentoo though.
