Hello,
I have set-up several virtual desktop on my new system and it is working great. Furthermore, I have activate the option "System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Virtual Desktops > Differents widgets for each desktop > checked". So, I have now 4 desktop and each one has a different wallpaper. ![]() Then, I have installed Conky and setup this one: http://zagortenay333.deviantart.com/art ... -426662366 However, I have been facing the black border issue. No troubles. I have followed this tutorial: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/co ... e_with_KDE But this wiki is wrong. Indeed, these scripts do not manage correctly:
So, with a friend we have done a little patch which can manage history and distinct wallpapers that you can find here: https://github.com/jonathanpoelen/kde-conky-desktop And it is working. However, it lacks reactivity. Indeed, when I change from desktop one to desktop two for example, it takes me 1 or 2 seconds before the current wallpaper is really loaded by conky and displayed correctly. See below: ![]() I have find a solution which is to increase the conky update time: "update_interval 1" => "update_interval 0.1" But the result is not yet perfect and it has performance issues. I do not see a simple way to finish this script... So I was asking myself whether someone of the KDE community had a solution? Cheers, |
