a) It connects automagically to the Android phone with bluetooth or by wireless router I use it to: b) transfer files back and forth c) control Amarok, start/stop, ff, rw etc. volume control and it displays the track: the Blood Is Shining - Spark the Sound. I can control Amarok from fourty feet away in the apartment through two walls. d) I was scared a foot into the air when....I happened to have Facebook open on the phone and got a notification on KDE connect, WITHOUT me "manually" starting it, of a Facebook chat notification! :0 note: there is a ping feature to test the connection. If others have developed other uses I'm sure that the community would like to hear thereof. Kudos to the devs! woodsmoke |

Positive feedback is always welcome. We're glad that it's working out so well for you.
Last I knew, it only connected via WIFI to desktops also connected to the router. The lack of bluetooth connectivity is pretty minor in most cases, but in my case, I can't use it at work because the WIFI is on a separate network from the LAN so my desktop and my phone can't see each other over the network, but can talk via bluetooth (or usb).

I agree, KDEConnect is really good.
Only problem is that I cannot see how to connect to either root, or my sdcard on the Android device. My device has root (in RAM) sdcard0 (in RAM) and sdcard1 (sdcard) Cheers Andrew |
