Is there a way to choose which desktop an icon appears on?

I don't want some icons on very desktop.

yes, You need to enable the Different widgets for each desktop setting in System Settings -> Workspace Behavior -> Virtual Desktops (caveat: under this setting there isn't a way to have some widgets shared between desktops - each desktop gets its own set of widgets)

Thanks.

Is there a way to copy some settings from one workspace to the other?

(sorry for the delayed response)
I don't think there's a way, short of manually combing through the config files. You might check the Brainstorm forum to see if such a feature has been submitted, and if (as I suspect to be the case) there is no such feature request, feel free to submit one.
