I've encountered a problem.
I've built LFS in VMware Player 9 environment and now I'm running KDE4 in it. Everything runs just fine exept one thing: I cannot shutdown my guest OS after I change screen resolution by resing the virtual machine window. If i boot, login to guest OS with graphical login and then the shut the system it down with graphical menu - its fine. But If I login, then resize my guest OS window and shut down the system after that, the guest OS screen turns black, and nothing happens until I kill VMware Player (well, I've waited for 5 minutes which is already a ridiculuous time). One more observation. If I open System Settings -> Display it shows me my screen and resolution. When I resize guest OS window system settings tell me that the screen is turned off, If I try to change resolution with system settings nothing happens. It still tells me that the screen is turned off. Moreover the issue happens eve if i change resolution with system settings, or xrandr. After that the system fails to shut down. So something is broken here. Any help with tracing down and fixing the issue would be appreciated. |
