After the last update i got a weired Bug sad
I have a AMD 7870 GPU with a Display Port and a HDMI Port. The Displayport is for my Desktop Display and the HDMI out for my TV. With my Win 8 Partion both working correctly I am using Chakra Linux And here is the bug : After grub Chakra ends with a black screen . When i unplug one Output Chakra is working again. The same happens with Chakra fully loaded Desktop. When i plug both Displays in , both Displays turn into black screen. When i unplug one ,everything is working again. Both outputs and Displays working perfectly. But the don´t work when both pluged in . Sorry for my English |

- plug in both screens
- move to VT1 (ctrl+alt+F1 - you should see a textshell login on one or both screens) - login - run
- logout ("exit") - move back to VT7 (X11, Ctrl+Alt+F7) - unplug a screen to get an output again and post the contents of the generated ~/screens.txt |

Ok, thank you for your help :
So here are the result : First VT1 don´t show up. The Screen was black. After frustrated hammering ctrl+alt+F1 ca. 10 times the Textshell appears ^^ But i notice something "new" pressing separate at the blackscreen ctrl+alt+F1 or ctrl+alt+F7 nothing happens. But when i press first ctrl+alt+F1 (nothing happen , the screen is still black) and right after that ctrl+alt+F7 my System boots normally ![]() After running xrandr -q > screens.txt only a blinking _ was shown . I waited 10 minutes . So i was not able to logout. But after reboot there was a screens.txt Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384 DFP1 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 520mm x 290mm 1920x1080 60.00*+ 50.00 59.94 60.00 50.00 59.94 1600x1200 60.00 1776x1000 50.00 59.94 50.00 59.94 1680x1050 50.00 59.95 1400x1050 50.00 59.98 1600x900 60.00 50.00 1280x1024 50.00 75.02 60.02 1440x900 50.00 59.89 1280x960 50.00 60.00 1152x864 50.00 59.94 75.00 1280x768 50.00 60.00 1280x720 60.00 50.00 59.94 1024x768 50.00 75.03 70.07 60.00 1152x648 50.00 59.94 800x600 50.00 72.19 75.00 60.32 56.25 720x480 50.00 60.00 60.00 59.94 59.94 640x480 50.00 75.00 72.81 66.61 60.00 59.94 DFP2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DFP3 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DFP4 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DFP5 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DFP6 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DFP7 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) CRT1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) |

Sounds like a kernel (module) issue.
=) I would have told if that should have lasted longer than a split-second ![]() This is no good sign and stresses above assumption.
The hdmi port is not listed at all and there seems either only one screen attached (current size == DFP1) or the hdmi would be in some clone mode (ie. show the very same output) => - What's the supposed configuration? (screens next to each other, cloning, ...) - Is it the radeon or fglrx ("catalyst", the AMD binary one) driver? - can you try a second DisplayPort or a VGA connection instead of hdmi? - can you attach/remove the second screen (causing both to be black and reverse) and somewhere paste * /var/log/Xorg.0.log * the output of "dmesg | tail -100" |

Yes your right. The Displays cloning .
I changed the setup and try to get a new screens.txt . But this time no textshell appears ![]() And i cant use vga Port, Because one DIsplay is my wall mountet TV and and the TV is in the other room ^^ I am using the catalyst driver Here is the output from dmesg | tail -100 [ 1.889003] sound hdaudioC0D0: Rear Mic=0x18 [ 1.889004] sound hdaudioC0D0: Line=0x1a [ 1.900631] input: HDA Intel PCH Front Mic as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input10 [ 1.900681] input: HDA Intel PCH Rear Mic as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input11 [ 1.900725] input: HDA Intel PCH Line as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input12 [ 1.900769] input: HDA Intel PCH Line Out Front as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input13 [ 1.900811] input: HDA Intel PCH Line Out Surround as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input14 [ 1.900853] input: HDA Intel PCH Line Out CLFE as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input15 [ 1.900895] input: HDA Intel PCH Line Out Side as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input16 [ 1.900937] input: HDA Intel PCH Front Headphone as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input17 [ 1.951788] parport_pc 00:07: reported by Plug and Play ACPI [ 1.951846] parport0: PC-style at 0x378, irq 5 [PCSPP] [ 1.952440] wmi: Mapper loaded [ 1.958551] r8169 Gigabit Ethernet driver 2.3LK-NAPI loaded [ 1.958559] r8169 0000:03:00.0: can't disable ASPM; OS doesn't have ASPM control [ 1.963039] [drm] Initialized drm 1.1.0 20060810 [ 1.974085] iTCO_vendor_support: vendor-support=0 [ 1.974744] AVX version of gcm_enc/dec engaged.
