I installed KDE for windows and afterwards my keyboard is missing the acute and grave accents.
Every other character works except accents.
I'm in Mexico and most of the time I use Spanish and the lack of accents is driving me crazy. I even tried uninstalling KDE and it didn't work.
I'm about to reinstall windows completely.

I assume the layout changed and you now don't have ` and ' as "dead" keys (ie. before you would have typed `+a to get à)?

No idea whether or why a KDE installation would alter the keyboard layout on windows.

The funny thing is that it seems that all other characters seem to be in their right place.
Even the <alt Gr> characters. It's only the dead keys that don't work.
I'm completely baffled by this problem.
Right now I'm thinking about finding the specific files (dll's or whatever) of the Spanish Keyboard and trying to replace them. But I have been unable to find which these are.

I don't really know for windows, but on X11, deadgraveacute is a variant for eg. the de layout.

I cannot really imagine why a KDE installatio should change this, but you ask best here:

I have the same issue with latest neon distro. No qt5 application have accents, but ñ works well. I have tried all keyboard variants. No luck.
Please help. If i can't solve this i have to abandon kde.

I have the same issue, but only with Wayland. On Xorg the keyboard works fine.

Same bug with French and German keyboard here since last update on my Arch system.
