And my point was that the version of kde-workspace is irrelevant. It is frozen at 4.11 since over a year, and ark is completely independent from it.

4.14.2 is not really "the old stuff" though, I'd say, it's the latest version (well, except for the 4.14.3 bugfix update) before 14.12. ;)

Btw, I just tried with 4.14.2 (and 4.14.3), and you are right: when holding Ctrl, the file is only selected, _not_ opened. (just clicking on a file opens it, but my workaround of moving the mouse works there as well)

So this seems to be a bug/regression in 14.12 or 14.12.1... (haven't tried 14.12.2 yet)
