First, my apoloiges if this is not a proper place for a question from a casual user (not a programmer nor developer). Otherwise, re-direction as to where to go to ask my question will be appretiated.
My issue: KDE 3.5, open konsole-script, multiple tabs. I wandered around the web long enough to figure out how to change tab text and color from a script from hotkey. Right now, I left click on a tab to select an active session, and then use hotkey to change tab color. But this leaves behind 'garbage' so to speak from execute color change script. So, I have to 2 questions: 1. Is it possible to execute a script when I left click to select tab in a konsole-script? 2. Is it possible to execute script from behind the scene so to speak to change tab color without leaving behind script execution? I figured I can use 'dcop konsole-#konsole_number session-#session_number sendSession "printf etc etc" to change tab text color by executing "printf etc etc" in other tab sessions. So, would it be possible to do similar to change tab text color without leaving behind any script execution residue. Thanks much for any help. |

For KDE 3.5, better ask here https://www.trinitydesktop.org/
Not sure whether anyone here around still uses it, we're currently transitioning to 5.3 ![]() |
