I am trying to install a dual boot on my system. I have windows8.1 installed and I am installing opensuse13.2. I restart my system, go to the boot menu and start my installation from my CD drive.
opensuse boot loader doesn't shows up, instead I get GNU GRUB version 2.02 beta2. It gives a list of commands that I can type. I don't know how to start the boot loader to start the installation for opensuse13.2. Can anyone help me with this? |

First a remark: your problem has absolutely nothing to do with KDE.
You might get better support over at the openSUSE forums: https://forums.opensuse.org/ But your problem sounds to me like a broken installation medium.
CD drive? What installation medium did you download exactly? Neither the DVD (obviously), nor the LiveCDs will fit on a _CD_. If it is a DVD actually, then likely something went wrong with downloading or burning. Be sure that you choose "Burn image file to disk" or similar in your burning program. If you burn a data CD/DVD containing the ISO file it will _not_ work. You could also try to use an USB stick instead to rule out problems with the DVD or the drive: https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Create_a_Li ... ng_Windows |
