Hello!
I'm new to KDE and so far i am really enjoying the whole thing. I was wondering if two shortcuts exists or are "creatable" under KDE : First, a shortcut to instantly 'pin' the current window (top left pin), because i would like to be able to move my windows between my virtual desktop without using the mouse. Second, a shortcut to make a window fit half-left / half-right of the virtual desktop. I would like this because one of my virtual desktop is pretty much always only two xterms, one on the right and one of the left (ratpoison style). I would like to simply boot them very fast using the xterm shortcut then the one to make it take half of a screen. Thanks! |

"kcmshell4 keys" resp. "kcmshell5 keys" on KDE 5. select "kwin"
There shortcuts to "keep window on all desktops" as well as "quick tile window to left/right" - and some more ![]() |

Dear friend, thanks you for the quick response and sorry for the late response.
I do not understand what you mean. what is "resp." and what is "kwin"? Could you give me further details? Many thanks and have a good day! JP. |

"respectively" - kwin is the process that manages your windows.
the mentuoned command will directly open the systemsettings module to configure shortcuts. |

Dear friend,
I got it to work. Thanks! I am glad this is supported, it'll give my current KDE configuration a little ratpoison flavour. Have a nice day! |
