Hi
I am working on a system RHEL7.1 with KDE 4.10.5. I wanted to automount removable devices so I added settings in kded_device_automounterrc for USB and CD. Earlier I found somewhere in forums that KDE 4.10.5 fails to mount new devices, it can only mount known devices. So I added all those settings (Ever mounted and force attach automount and force login automount) in kded_device_automounterrc for sd[b-z][1-4] and sr[0-4]. Recently I found that, if I keep logged in for more than two hours and then try to connect any USB/CD it fails to auto mount. Digging further I found that, actually kded daemon was dying with no trace in syslog. Means, if I log in and try to connect any device it mounts perfectly , but if I keep the device running with my login and then connect any device, kded daemon crashes. I even tried to restart kded, I get 'Daemon is already running' message. Any kind of help is appreciated. |
