dual monitor settings on a new install are not saved between reboots or across logins.
have tried this with kbuntu 14.04 (kde 4.13.1) and opensuse 13.2 (kde 4.14.2). the video
card is ati firemv 2250 (rv516).

dual monitor configuration will work, but one monitor must always be re-enabled and
set as the primary. it does not seem to matter if kscreen2 is running or not.

i have not been able to find a solution. does anyone have a suggestion?
if any logs or other details are needed, please let me know.
