That's viewtopic.php?f=111&t=131425 and somehow supports my assumption.
If they invalidly quit (or indeed crash) when being notified about the session exit, they won't be restarted (since they were gone when the session was actually stored)

And this is still the wrong forum ;-)
KWin does not do sessions.

you could try adding their .desktop files (copies or links) to the autostart folder ~/.kde4/share/autostart or ~/.config/autostart

Code: Select all
ln -s /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop ~/.kde4/share/autostart/google-chrome.desktop

but i save kde session by myself ("Leave - Save Session" from K menu), no logout from session no quits from applications are perfomed

putting links to ~/.config/autostart maybe a decision, but why kde cant save them in his config .kde4/share/config/session/kwin_xxx ?

because that's where kwin stores window attributes like geometry and such across sessions....

please repeat after me:
kwin does NOT manage sessions and looking in its configs is a dead end!

whether or not the last session or an explicitly stored one is restored is configurable in "kcmshell smserver"
