After the latest update to to Plasma 5.6 and Qt 5.6 the dolphin activity protocol that let to associate files to activity is not working any more. Also the "Link to activity" menu entry is disappeared. Is it there any known problems with it?

Things are moving between KDE parts

Earlier kactivitymanagerd_fileitem_linking_plugin.desktop (and other activity linking bits) were part of the Plasma but now they are part of the KDE Applications.

i.e

This file was deleted.

At here(*), with the Arch Linux, Dolphin v 16.03.80 has the link/unlink activities service menu:



The 'fileitemplugin/kactivitymanagerd_fileitem_linking_plugin.desktop' is from:

Thanks for the response. So we need to wait the release of KDE 16.04.

Maybe it was just a mistake, but when moving stuff from two components of KDE the release time of the two should be considered, because things like this break the workflow of all the users using the specific features for months!
