Hi,
When I try to launch any application after waking up (after click from sleep menu) I get this message from a plasma pop up :

Code: Select all
KDEInit could not launch “/usr/bin/any_app“

So I can't use my workspace until I leave the session then starting the session again.

Any ideas out there please friends?
Thanks

QT version : 5.5.1

no idea but you could provide a bit more info:
- did it ever work? if so when did it stop?
- does it work for a new user?
- how are you launching the apps? Kmenu? Desktop icon? command line? other?
- does it open if run from Konsole?

also run
Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca5 --noincremental  2> /dev/null

- it work fine until I turn to sleep. When waking up I get these plasma popup messages
- I can't start a new session with another user, session stuck at loading
- launch from taskbar, K Menu or Krunner give same result
- I can't run konsole from GUI, only from Console mode (CTRL-ALT-F2), but can't run any graphic app from here

kbuildsycoca5 --noincremental 2> /dev/null before sleep return nothing

After wakeup from console the same command return Image

these seem similar and all suggest the same solution - change your host name

viewtopic.php?f=66&t=85330&start=10

https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comm ... inkonsole/

you can use the command hostnamectl as root
hostnamectl --help
hostnamectl [OPTIONS...] COMMAND ...

Query or change system hostname.

-h --help Show this help
--version Show package version
--no-ask-password Do not prompt for password
-H --host=[USER@]HOST Operate on remote host
-M --machine=CONTAINER Operate on local container
--transient Only set transient hostname
--static Only set static hostname
--pretty Only set pretty hostname

Commands:
status Show current hostname settings
set-hostname NAME Set system hostname
set-icon-name NAME Set icon name for host
set-chassis NAME Set chassis type for host

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x
