Background: I'm running OpenSuSE 42.1 which has KDE 4.14.18 installed. The computer is used by both myself and my wife. Both of us have the digital clock widget in the task manager panel at the bottom, and both of us have it configured to display the time and the date. Also, this computer was upgraded from an earlier version of OpenSuSE (and KDE).
When my session is active, everything displays fine always. After a reboot, the first time we start up a new session and my wife logs in, hers displays fine. But after switching back and forth between sessions, at some point, characters in various widgets in her session become invisible. This has shown up in multiple widgets, but the most reliable is the digital clock. There's no way to attach a screenshot, but I took a screenshot of the digital clock portion of her screen and it can be viewed here: http://sullybeck.com//Screenshot_20160517.png This was taken at around 10:15 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 (so as you can see, quite a few of the characters are invisible). I've removed her .kde directory but that did not fix the problem. Any suggestions/ideas? |
