Problem: filename misses the first letter in the search results of Find in Files. It does not happen all the time so can be filename dependent.

Possible problems: missing escape of the filename in the code.

Search TODO .tex documents with/without symlinks in the directorories. I can now reproduce the problem now without symlinks. Please, see the email at https://sourceforge.net/p/kile/mailman/ ... nth=201606 about the initial report.

I could not find similar bug report in the Bug tracker of Kile. I do not have access to the system so I cannot file it in.

Systems: Ubuntu 16.04 and Debian 8.5
Hardware: Macbook Air 2013-mid and Dell PC i3 2013

Can someone confirm here the off-by-one bug in Kile?
