Location of User Wallpapers

Sun Aug 07, 2016 7:26 am
Hello friends,

I am a newbie to KDE, using Kubuntu 16.04,
I wish to know the location of user downloaded wallpapers,
I know that the system wallpapers can be found under
Code: Select all
/usr/share/wallpapers/

but location of the wallpapers downloaded from KDE-look by clicking "Get new Wallpaper" ?

From kubuntu forums I came to know that those images can be found under
Code: Select all
/home/USERNAME/.kde/share/wallpapers
but I couldn't find in my machine ?
Any suggestion ?

Thanks in advance

KDE4 / Debian based distributions are using:
Code: Select all
/home/USERNAME/.kde/share/wallpapers

The KF5/Plasma5 are following the XDG Base Directory Specification: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/ ... atest.html
Environment variables

$XDG_DATA_HOME defines the base directory relative to which user specific data files should be stored. If $XDG_DATA_HOME is either not set or empty, a default equal to $HOME/.local/share should be used.

=> $HOME/.local/share/wallpapers
