I'm using Plasma 5 and I would like to organize my desktop so that the icons are not only aligned, but also share the same size. If it can't be done in a GUI, which configuration file should I tackle?

Here's a screen shot of how my desktop icons are aligned at the moment -- not very organized, as one might notice.

Are you using the 'desktop' layout or the 'folder view' layout ?

With the 'folder view' layout there are alight/sorting/appearance settings...
