Hi,
in order to solve an issue with default laptop screen, i had to installed KDE 5.6.5 on my mother's laptop. However, she likes more the menu launch than standard launcher. I also added some apps to taskbar and hide some notification from systray where is the clock. For an unknown reason, after laptop restarts all customization disappears and i have to do it all again. Under KDE 5.5.5 i've never experienced the problem. So what it's going on with KDE 5.6.5 ? How to fix this issue ? thx

The Usual Suspects The plasma can't write/read the configuration files - check the owner of the $Home/.config/plasma* files The plasma can't parse the configuration files. - start with the clean $Home/.config/plasma* files. (Examine if the problem is local: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=38828 ) Error messages ? Does the .xsession-errors have error messages ? Does the systemd journal have error messages ? If you start the plasmashell from the terminal are there error messages ? More When you edit the plasma desktop is the customization saved to the $Home/.config/plasma* files ? |
