Konsole shortcuts make it unusable

Wed Aug 31, 2016 6:34 pm
I don't know how it got turned on, but now in Konsole all links have a numbered hotkey assigned to them automatically. I assume I turned it on by making a ctrl-key typo but I can not find where to turn it off. Konsole is now unusable to me.. I can not type any numbers in konsole since it will only open the link in another app. Any help would be appreciated.

After closing all Konsole terminals, including Yakuake, and restarting, the annoying behavior has stopped. That said, I would like to know the command keys that enable this annoying feature. I do like the ability to use the mouse to click on links in Konsole, but the keyboard shortcuts 'feature' is very annoying.. especially when a person can not find the documentation on how to enable/disable it.

I'll close this help request, but I would still like to know more about this 'feature.'

Thanks,

Nicholas

You can configure it in the profile settings (Advanced->Show URL hints).
But it should be disabled by default anyway.
And even if enabled, they should only be shown while you hold down the Ctrl key and disappear again if you release it (you may have run into a bug though of course).

If that doesn't help, you should probably specify what konsole version you are using.
And maybe post a screenshot for clarification if possible, to assure we are talking about the same thing.
