KDM resolution problem.

Tue Oct 04, 2016 3:45 am
Hi! :)

My system (Debian Jessie x64 KDE), has an AMD Radeon HD 8.400 / R3 onboard graphic card.
I installed the drivers and almost everything works as expected.
My monitor's (a Samsung 19inc. model) native resolution is 1360X768 @60Hz.

The only problem I'm facing, is when I'm going to KDM, my monitor brings up the message: "not optimal resolution", and I have to push the Menu button, to dismiss it.

Is there any way, to use the (above mentioned) correct resolution in KDM?

I don't know if it has something to do, but my Xorg.conf file, is:

Code: Select all
Section "ServerLayout"
   Identifier     "aticonfig Layout"
   Screen      0  "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" 0 0
EndSection

Section "Module"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
   Identifier   "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0"
   Option       "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver"
   Option       "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor"
   Option       "DPMS" "true"
EndSection

Section "Device"
   Identifier  "aticonfig-Device[0]-0"
   Driver      "fglrx"
   BusID       "PCI:0:1:0"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
   Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0"
   Device     "aticonfig-Device[0]-0"
   Monitor    "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0"
   DefaultDepth     24
   SubSection "Display"
      Viewport   0 0
      Depth     24
   EndSubSection
EndSection
