Hi,

My system is unable to reach screen locker when it wakes up from screen off. This may also happen after suspend as I am not sure and this bug is very trick to replicate. When system wakes up from screen off all I see is a blank/black screen with cursor. Cursor sometimes changes to input prompt but again I can't see anything and nothing really happens even when I enter the text. I can switch to a tty via Ctrl+Alt+F#. I have been able to kill X via systemctl restart sddm and reach display manager. The only recourse I have is to lose my data and all open apps and restart everything.

It happens often but not 100% time. I keep losing unsaved data and I am having a very bad desktop experience as a result.

I am using Fedora 24, Kernel 4.7.5, Plasma 5.7.5, Frameworks 26, and Qt 5.6.1. I am also using whatever free drivers (xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-24.20160712.fc24.x86_64) supplied by Fedora.

Code: Select all
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

My question is I am not sure if this is a bug in Kernel, Intel graphics drivers, Kscreenlocker, PowerDevil, or Plasma. Can anyone please help?
