Font management

I instaled KDE neon after using kubuntu 14.04 many years. Seems running nicely except one issue. Font management freezes while installing or removing fonts. I upgraded to 5.8.1 but problem is stil here. Is there a way to overcome this or is this a system bug?

Seem to work at here, Arch & Plasma 5.8.1, without problems.

Do you get any error messages if you start the fontinst kcm module from the konsole ?

Code: Select all
$ kcmshell5 fontinst

Having the same problem here (KDE Neon with Plasma 5.9.2).
Starting from the console shows:
Code: Select all
Connecting to deprecated signal QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)

Afterwards, the font settings do not start, it only appears a message that they have been started via system settings.
