Hi
I migrated my Desktop from win10 to Kde Neon last week and got most things ironed out so far. My system: Asus B150 PRO GAMING Intel Core i5-6600 Amd Radeon HD 7950 (2 Displays) 16 GB Ram OS is installed on ssd, /tmp /var and /home are moved to a 1TB regular harddrive I resorted to opensource graphics drivers, since ati driver support is still bad, nvidia card might come end of year. The issue I have, is that in normal OS usage, the applications occasionally freeze. I use multiple desktops and are used to excessive multitasking between games, browser, email and other stuff. But every time the system does anything, like extracting an archive, launching an application or just opening a txt file, I notice other applications and/or the desktop becoming unresponsive for a brief moment which gets really annoying as it sums up in frequency. Are there any drivers or adjustments I can make or do I have to deal with it? How can I narrow down any possible issues my pc might have with the OS? Where do I go from here? |
