Hi, forgive my bad english... I have just installed linux Mint with KDe and am trying to customize it to my liking.
I come from an opensuse kde (3.5 mostly) so many preferences I had have been saved in my home. I used to have a couple Konqueror profiles I used to view files etc., that I had set as in divided window, tree, compact view etc etc., and saved. I still find them among those I can choose to use, but when I try to use them, this is forgotten when I turn off my pc. Basically, every time I reboot I have to choose my konqueror view settings again because it shows me the default one and not the last one when I restart it (why doesn't it remember that it was open when I turned the pc off?) Any idea on why this happens, and what I can do to have it memorize it once and for all? Again, could you PLEASE take a look at my other post here? viewtopic.php?f=17&t=137266 to me it's very important... it's not only a matter of esthetic preference (even if it plays a big part too). I have eyesight problems and once I have found a setting (of font dimension, color combination, window appearance etc) that doesn't tire my eyes I truly need to keep it. Right now I'm having big problems because since all my previous settings are off my eyes get sore so quickly... I had tuned my KDE perfectly and I need to recreate that same look (or get as close as possible to it) in Mint really quick. Thanks for any advice |
