Greetings
This will probably my first post on this forum, consider me a rank noob in working my way around with Linux and KDE in particular. My current problem relates to using a non-standard monitor which is not recognized by automatic process. I am using Philips TV as my monitor which has a resolution of 1366x768. However, the settings->display and monitor has a max resolution of 1024x768!

Current OS - Win10 with Debian Jessie KDE 64bit
My computer configuration will be i3 Intel >3GHz. RAM - 4 GB
Using lspci -k command, I get the following output which may help you decide relevant info on hardware?
//
Host bridge: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family DRAM Controller (rev 09)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. P8P67/P8H67 Series Motherboard
Kernel driver in use: snb_uncore
00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200/2nd Generation Core Processor Family PCI Express Root Port (rev 09)
Kernel driver in use: pcieport
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device 844d
Kernel driver in use: i915
//

I presume, I need to add a custom line in x.config file for current resolution? As all noobs do, I did search using google and this forum for appropriate answers, but, I cannot find a way to proceed further.

If a similar query has been answered before, please redirect me to relevant thread. Alternately share info, and please be patient with me (my grey cells are diminishing at 60)

Thanks
Virendra
