lnusertemp error when logging in

Fri Jun 23, 2017 6:23 pm
Greetings.

I've seen this question posted and resolved many times, but all of the solutions I've seen elsewhere have either already been applied or just don't apply to my situation.

CentOS 7.3.1611
HP Z600
- Nvidia GT200GL (Quadro FX 3800) Video Card
Dell T1700
- Nvidia GK107 (NVS 510) Video Card
Home directories mounted from an NFS share
User owns his home directory and .kde is also user owned
/tmp is at 1% full
/var/tmp is at 14% full
/dev/null has proper permissions
/tmp and /var/tmp are cleared on logout via a script in /etc/kde/shutdown
Closed network, not access to the Internet

So... sometimes when a user attempts to log in he gets the lnusertemp error. Nothing shows up in /var/log/messages or /var/log/secure. I do *not* have a /var/log/kde.log (don't know how to set that up).

Any suggestions?
