I am facing a similar issue than Makovich in his thread "Keyboard Spanish missing accents" except that I use the German, French and US keyboards on a daily basis. I am not able to write french characters with the US or german keyboard, or german characters with US and French keyboard.

I opened a thread on the Arch forum here but opening one here since all non Plasma/Qt applications work fine.

Konsole, Kate, Dolphin don't support accents anymore and just display the question mark character.
