Weird question, but when installing KDE, by default which is the setting for the rendering backend?
- XRender - OpenGL 2.0, or - OpenGL 3.1 |

At here the rendering backend defaults to the OpenGL 2.0 setting but the kwin support is telling:
With the OpenGL 3.1:
Same kind of: Which Rendering Backend - OpenGL 2.0 or 3.1?: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthrea ... 2-0-or-3-1 Which opengl option?: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/3 ... gl_option/ |

Awesome, thankyou. Whereabouts are these settings stored on disk? I want to compare the settings I have now to the settings I have in a backup.

Don't know if this is what is meant but the settings are in >SystemSettings5>Display and Monitor>Compositor>Rendering backend. So they are perhaps somewhere in '/usr/share'. |

GLCore=true means OpenGL 3 is used |

Hi buddy, what is the extent to which we can push the strings too with this? Regards, Noel Smith |
