Oddly enough, I can't get file transfer progress indicators to show. The option to track progress is checked in the notifications plasmoid, and even if I uncheck it the popup dialog version of the progress indicator does not show. And when large files have been transfered no notification appears in the notifications plasmoid either.

Googled about a bit and found nothing. Where can I look to further troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Hope its okay to add on to an old thread, but I've fixed my issue today, so thought I'd document.

I monitored ~/.xsession-errors and noticed that there was an error about not being able to start org.kde.kuiserver whenever I perform an action that would normally cause a tracked job. I checked and kuiserver5 seems to be installed and running it manually and then restarting plasma appears to cause jobs to be properly tracked thenceforth. The funny thing is, after running kuiserver5 manually once like this, it seems to "remember" because my jobs are now always tracked by the progress indicator, even after multiple reboots. So that's all good now.
