Hello, everyone,
now I can use Dolphin with Ubuntu under Windows in WSL. Unfortunately, this fails because of a small problem Dolphin has on external X servers. No icons and previews are displayed ![]() Has anyone a tip? Yours Arne ![]() |

Hmm... that is interesting.
I've been wondering how far you could get with running linux apps on WSL. Apparently everything, with some possible troubles. I recall seeing that when they officially released WSL with the fall OS update that you had to uninstall the original Ubuntu subsystem and install afresh from Windows's App Store. I assume you did that. What packages did you install to get dolphin running? Presumably the default icon packages should have been installed as well. What do you mean by "external XServer"? You might also check out KDE's System Settings (ubuntu package: systemsettings) -> Application Appearance, where you can configure the look of KDE applications including the widget style as well as the icon theme.
