Hi,
I'm using a Kubuntu with a 5.10.5 plasma, a 5.38.0 kde and a 4.13.0-17 kernel.
My config works well with 3 screens monitors, but I can not put different shortcuts on each screen.

Let me explain, when I copy / drag a chrome URL to the desktop, I get the same url identical on my 3 screens.
Would it be possible to have different shortcuts (launchers?) On each monitor (screen).

thank you
Hervé

From what I understand, in Plasma 5.10, they changed the default layout to be Folder View, which means that by default the desktop will show the contents of your ~/Desktop folder. When you copy/drag the chrome URL to the desktop it is creating the shortcut in ~/Desktop, which then gets displayed in each Folder View using that directory (i.e. each monitor, because they each get a separate folder view).

A couple of ideas to resolve this:
* Switch the layouts from Folder View by going into the desktop (folder) settings and selecting something else in the Layout dropdown. Follow this up by customizing the widgets on that desktop (including adding Folder View widgets) as desired. In this case when you drag the URL to the desktop and have it create the icon the shortcut won't be created in ~/Desktop but is saved in the configuration for that desktop (and you should be able to drag the icon between monitors as you desire as well).
* Change the folders or filters used by each monitor's Folder View by going into the desktop (folder) settings and making changes in the Location and Filter configuration panes. In this case, dragging the URL to the desktop will create the shortcut in that monitor's folder (and may show up on a different monitor depending on how you set up the filters).
