I just installed the binary driver 331.67 from Nvidia.

I use KDE 4.11.5 and Linux kernel 3.14.1.

When I now log into a KDE session I have no window borders, KWIN seems to be disabled, the desktop effect seem to be disabled too. And, I cannot use my USB keyboard to do anything, I cannot type anything. I just can use the mouse to escape that KDE session.

Is anyone aware of these symptoms? I have to use the beta driver 337.12, this driver is okay.

3.14 kernel? How old is that? Which distro?

Dito for the 331 version of the nvidia driver. Which graphic card do you have?

Anyway, first thing to do is forget KDE , go to a tty to revert back to nouveau. Lynx is an absolute must for such eventualities
