I would like to start a backup process when a special usb storage (identified by uuid) is plugged in.
I added a new entry at System settings →Removable Storage →Device Actions The settings are as follows:
The command is a path to a script. The usb storage is mounted autmatically at /media/shark/a8dac7ae-0da4-47e0-a5da-b38b18f2e3ee/. But the bash script is not being executed. (It already has executable rights.) Any suggesstions? Should I make a bug report? My system: Kubuntu 18.04 KDE Plasma 5.12.6 KDE Frameworks 5.44.0 Qt 5.9.5 |

The device action command is executed when the user picks the action from the device notifier pop up. ![]() The 'automatic handling of removable storage media' just mounts the media. It won't execute any device action. ![]() You may want to try: How to run a script when a specific flash-drive is mounted? - https://askubuntu.com/questions/25071/h ... is-mounted |
