Hello, I'm posting on this forum because I've a weird problem, I've installed arch linux on my pc and wanted to install KDE plasma as desktop environment because it looked pretty, but after installing I end up having this issue where everything looks huge, almost as if I had a really low resolution while the resolution is correctly set to 1080p and the scaling is correctly set to the default one (1.0)
here are some photos to show the issue https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2018/37/2/1536695812-wp-20180911-007.jpg https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2018/37/2/1536695889-wp-20180911-008.jpg weirdly enough, setting the scaling to 1.1 is supposed to make it bigger (since it's a setting meant for high dpis), but setting it to 1.1 makes it just like if I was at the minimum size a bit bigger (so the 1.1 is smaller than the 1.0) but the 1.1 causes some issues font wise where some artifacts appear on the text and in text editor long lines appear randomly I tried using the nouveau driver instead but it only fixes the issues of artifacts and is less stable since with the nouveau driver, the UI often stops responding and crashes I searched everywhere on the net thinking it was a common problem, but I can't find any post with people having the same problem |

I don't currently have a linux machine, that is running on nvidia hardware, but
I have seen this issue before with an old nvidia gts 450 on a friends PC. Try that: - disable scaling - go to system settings -> appearance -> Force Fonts DPI - use a custom setting, for example 120 dpi - logout, login that worked for the gts 450, else wait for a reply of a nvidia user.
