Hi,
When I change the mouse settings they don't take effect. I have Ubuntu 18.04 with KDE Plasma 5 Enviroment. Everything else works perfect. Thanks! |

You should be more specific. What do you change and expect after the change?

Hi fdekruijf,
None of the settings take effect. If I set everything to max, the cursor moves in the same speed. I want to speed up both the mouse wheel and the cursor. I would prefere to fix the GUI but a fix from terminal would also work. xinput --list --short I have Logitech USB Receiver xinput --set-prop "Logitech USB Receiver" "Device Accel Constant Deceleration" 1.5 Warning: There are multiple devices matching 'Logitech USB Receiver'. To ensure the correct one is selected, please use the device ID, or prefix the device name with 'pointer:' or 'keyboard:' as appropriate. What would be the correct code with "id9"? Or GUI fix? Thanks |

This is a known bug in the base packages starting I believe in v17.04 and hasn't been fixed for 18.04: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1682193 Make sure you do it in the following order or you will be left with no input software - basically you need to apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-evdev package then apt-get remove the xserver-xorg-input-libinput package. Restart and you will have sensitivity and acceleration functionality again. |

That's a known bug with certain models of laptops with touchpads - some are not recognized properly, not sure if it's a config or driver issue. Try the 3 step answer here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1041820 ... untu-18-04 |

Thanks very much!
sudo apt install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and reboot. Did it. ![]() |
