I have done an internet search for this and oddly haven't found anything even close. Which makes me wonder if I'm just getting to old. That simply can't be possible, has to be me.

But how does one run Discover from terminal or Konsole? I'm in a development version of OpenMandriva and simply running "discover" results in no output. Also no error like it should work. But there is no discover in /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, or /usr/share/applications so I'm bumfoozled! What am I doing wrong?

Also I hope I'm posted in the correct forum for this issue.

On my Fedora, it's plasma-discover. Might be the same on OpenMandriva.

Yes it is in OpenMandriva as well. It appears as if the updater, which is what I was really after, is pkcon refresh and pkcon update? Guess that comes from PackageKit?

Maybe I'm getting to old to remember stuff that isn't obvious.

Yes, your commands are right. pkcon is the command line utility that allow you to interact with PackageKit.
