Hello,

After I reboot my PC, all my desktop settings are restored to default such as Folder View and from the Bing Picture of the Day changed back to the stock Neon wallpaper?

Is this a common bug which will be fixed in a future update?

Or is there a workaround I could try please?

This happens every reboot or logoff?
It is possible that the file permissions on your user config files has changed, somehow. They work when you change them, but when you reboot or log off, the settings you changed can't be written back to the config file. A common cause is running a GUI program with sudo, or mounting a home folder from another Linux install and messing about.

Try this command to make sure all your files are owned by you:

sudo chown -R username:username /home/username/

Change some of the setting to the way you had them, then log off and back in to see it that fixes it.

You are right, when I logged out and logged back in my Desktop preferences changed back to default.

However running the command after changing the Desktop settings has not resolved the issue sadly.

Also to note is that the WiFi disconnects and reconnects after I login.

* I would just like to clarify that I was running Linux Mint previously however I have replaced it with KDE Neon. There is only one OS running on the system.
