Hello,
I'm new to KDE and Linux in general but I think the KDE desktop is amazing. I have two questions/issues and I hope I posted this in the right place. 1. When using two monitors and dragging and dropping a folder from the Primary to the Extended monitor I get a pop-up saying "File Already Exists" and asking me to overwrite the folder. The source folder/file has the normal path and the destination has an additional "./" without the " " in it. I'm not sure if I missed something. Shouldn't I be able to just drag a folder or file from one screen to the other without trying to overwrite itself? 2. When moving an icon on a desktop it doesn't really allow me to drop the icon where I want most of the time. If I pick up an icon, drag it a bit and hover with it before dropping it in another location I get the mouse pointer with the red circle warning sign that it wont work. However, when dragging and dropping an icon and the mouse pointer is still moving/in motion I can drop it anywhere because the red circle does not show up. I'm running Kubuntu 18.10. I have no idea where to start looking on how to fix these things. Any tips on where to look is much appreciated. |

If you use two or more monitors by default they are all extensions of the same desktop. If you want to have separate desktops you need to configure it as such and then you can have multiple items and panels, etc.
For icons and widgets, they have a snap-to effect which helps with alignment and overlapping. I presume that's what you're experiencing. |
