Filesystem access in KDE?

Sun Apr 21, 2019 5:20 pm
Sorry about the vague subject. This is the thing: I have noticed, whenever I open certain programs - kwrite, libreoffice, and a number of others - it looks like a sweep of all mounted filesystems happens; the reason I suspect this is that I have a small NAS on my home net. It falls asleep after 5 minutes or so, and whenever you access the filesystem, it takes some 20 - 30 secs to wake up, so it is rather annoying. The same happens if I open a file dialog, like 'Save as' or 'Open (a file)'. Is there a way to turn it off? I think there is no need to start accessing a directory, unless I, the user, explicitly asks for it.
