I've noticed that Latte Dock flickers on first hover and sort of black bar appears. It works ok for a while - at least until you log of then on , or change compositing. I found this bug report:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398257 It looks like exactly what I'm experiencing. It is marked as resolved - but I don't see a clue howto apply a possible fix (or which version should work without this glitch). Has anyone figured this one out? |

I have the same problem. It seems there's only one dude to fix it and he can't. I'm considering 'plank' instad of 'latte'.

a tad misleading what you say there: it is a limitation of the underlying X11 system, doesn't happen in Wayland. Since X11 is deprecated and will ultimately be replaced by Wayland it is a bit much asking to fix it, there are more important things to work on.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

you should be able to choose between an X11 or a Wayland based desktop on login, depending on your distribution. Not all distributions offer the choice though. Of course you would need a fairly recent Plasma for this to work properly, ideally the latest ones (5.17.x or 5.18.x).

Oh I see, but then I lose all my KDE settings which I love so much. Thanks!
