How do I add keyboard shortcuts to open new instance of applications with the icon-only task manager, similar to Latte Dock? I'd use it but it doesn't play well with NVIDIA GPU, specifically after waking up from sleep.

I tried reloading the shortcut but it doesn't show up.

Posted a bug report/wishlist about it. Hopefully it gets implemented soon.

Icons-only task manager

it is "Icons-only task manager" , the plasmoid in the standard panel.

while it is true that you cannot add any shortcut to Global Shortcuts ,

it might well serve your purpose to add somthing - namely a .khotkeys scheme - under Custom Shortcuts in the same KCM in systemsettings called "Shortcuts"

granted, the whole thing may be a bit confusing. see also https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kde-work ... otkeys.pdf

with good explanations
