Desktop icon sizes don't work properly?

First let me say I'm a Linux newb. I'm using the latest version of KDE Neon. I am using a 1440p monitor. So when I first installed KDE Neon, the desktop icons were too small. But I found the setting that allows you to change their size. You simply right click on the desktop, highlight icons, and then size. Unfortunately, it seems that they skipped several sizes between "Large" and "Huge". Large is too small for me, and Huge looks like it is for people who have impaired vision. Seems like they skipped XL, and XXL. So for now, all my desktop icons are going to have to stay on the large setting, which for me, is too small. I just can't get over it... they look too small.

So is there another way to make them larger? Perhaps I could edit the proper config file somewhere buried in the system files? All of the icon sizes must have certain numbers for their size attached to them, somewhere. Just like with the icon spacing, which is how I fixed that problem. If I could just find out where and edit those numbers, I should have the answer to this problem. But I'm open to other methods as well.

Not dead, just not very active (and it depends a bit on which subforum you post to as some are more active than others).

In this case, that setting is saved in ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc, under the [Containments][$containmentId][General] section for the activity as an iconSize value. The different sizes are numbers corresponding to the different size settings.

However, I'd expect that still ends up jumping between the too-small and too-big settings, so more fine-grained control will require changing the source code.

You should file a bug to bugs.kde.org to get better size jumps for hi-DPI displays.
