my recent update (last Saturday) on my kubuntu desktop **Cosmic** and my laptop **Disco** has made my entire plasma desktop greyscale. Including all applications I run. Login is full color though and when I switch desktops, the transition effect is color until it reaches the chosen desktop.
I also just noticed that right-click desktop menus are in color. This is very weird.

It's an interesting look but unusable in my current environment.

Also, If I log into any other desktop (gnome, xubuntu, etc) no problems. it seem to only affect plasma.

I update daily.

Please I need so feedback asap.

I didn't remember that I actually tried to install this effect. It didn't work when I tried it then I reinstalled it correctly and it' working now. I can turn it on and off:
