Black screen instead of desktop

I wanted to install widgets by right-clicking on the desktop -> widgets. After that, the black screen. Programs are launched (via the console) from the GUI. I use the Manjaro distribution, the system is new.
Restarting doesn't help, nor does creating a new user. |

So you couldn't install widgets and didn't see the widgets menu either? Please report this to your distribution, it works perfectly fine on current Kubuntu
FWIW: the exact Plasma version is always helpful instead of "recent ' distributionname'"
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
