Hello! Just installed Kubuntu 20.04 and really like it. There is one show-stopper I'm running into: I've installed Crossover Office on the system, and whenever I start up any of the Windows apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) the apps appear with their title bar hidden under the top panel of the monitor, so they cannot be grasped to move. They are also not resizable - no window manager resize handles are available. Right-clicking on the Task Manager entry and looking in "More Actions" shows the window as Maximized, and clicking the "Maximized" button has no effect. I can click the "Move" or "Resize" button to move or resize the app, but it stays maximized. This does not happen to any of the other windows on the system.
I would appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I fear this is a question that should go to the Crossover Office people, we are not responsible for their behavior on Linux

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Thanks for the response. I've logged a case with Codeweavers, and hopefully the issue will be resolved. I will update this post when I know more.

Did you try to move the window with <ALT+right_click> (or change the height with <ALT+left_click>) and then resize the window ? Which buttons for controlling the size are visible on the titlebar of the window ?

Try this to:
Code: Select all
What works for me with Word, Excel and Powerpoint is:

   Start System Settings
   Select Window Behaviour
   Select Window Rules
Click "New..." to create a new Window Rules
   Enter the description
Window Class: Regular Expression. I use .*\b(winword.exe|excel.exe|powerpnt.exe)\b.*
   Check "Match whole window class"
Check on tab "Size & Position"
Check "Full screen": value Forced, No
Check "Ignore Requested Geometry": value Forced, Yes

Taken from WineHQ, so not my own work!
