Dual monitor does not start Plasma.

Fri Dec 11, 2020 3:18 pm
I have the following issues using the Kubuntu 20.04. When I plug in dual monitor and enable my nvidia-driver-455 the system starts up and I can login the usual login screen, but my laptop side screen does not start Plasma. The external monitor actually works. I have couple of other issues with this external monitor but dont want to get them mixed up in this ::(

Thankfully I have Latte dock bar running and I can drop to terminal (or run apps on the dock). I have to manually run the following to bring Plasma back up.
Code: Select all
 kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

However when I shutdown and unplug the external monitor (Its on the HDMI port), and reboot, plasma starts. Any idea how to make plasma start when I am using external display?. I am looking at the plasma config file ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc but not sure if I should be touching it and it's pretty extensive.

Thanks
