Missing 2 features in KDE 4.1: Drag&Drop for files and stacking multiple windows...

Hi,

since I've changed from KDE 3.5 to 4.1 I am missing two small features:
- When using dolphin or konqueror as file manager, I'd like to drag & drop files and navigate through my file system hierachy by having the mouse button clicked. In KDE 3.5 a folder popped open, when I held the files I wanted to move over the folder icon. In the actual dolphin version it's even worse - I can't move files from one tab to another one?
- When there are opened several windows of one application these windows were "stacked" in the panel / task manager / whatever it is called of KDE 3.5 with a possibility to close all of them or move all to another workspace. Now every window uses it's own (and so very small) space.

Are these two (I think small, but helpful) features implemented not yet or did I miss the button to activate them?

With kind regards,
Reinhard

Both of these features should be present in KDE 4.2. (As in, I believe they are already implemented in trunk)

I cannot verify the file manager features in either Dolphin or Konqueror. I couldn't find an option for them either. Running 9 hour old trunk.

It is.

Go to:
- Settings
- General
- Check box "Open folders during drag operations"

I am at kdebase svn 890595

You are right, but it can only be done through Dolphin, and Konqueror does not support it ( which it did in 3.5 ). One day I will have to get around to customising Dolphin to my liking, Konqueror cannot do everything anymore :-(

Since Konqueror uses DolphinPart (?), I doubt this feature won't come to Konqueror as well. It's probably just missing from the settings.

I implemented this feature, and it should definitely work with Konqueror. I'll take a look when I have time.

FYI - I've had times when Dolphin couldn't drag and drop until I restarted it (like this morning) and I seem to recall some versions of Konqueror working and others (including my currentkde4-konqueror-4.1.81-1.3) releases not.

I have not been able to drop on a tab in trunk. If I mouse over a tab it will switch to that tab and then I can drop it in the file browser area, but I can't just drop on the tab. I also can't seem to use cut and paste or copy and paste for files.
